Andy Spencer is an experienced, hard working DJ.
He has an unrivalled passion for House Music and an incredible knowledge of music from past to present.
His DJ skills have lead him to play throughout the UK, plus several times in the USA. Andy began DJ'ing back in 1988, inspired by early house records. He then made the transition from vinyl to CD during the early 90's, and has continued to embrace technology to evolve his DJ mixing & production talents.
In 2005 he launched the Funkin Good brand and has successfully promoted and run nights featuring 'chunky, funky & soulful house music'.
Encouraged through friendships with fellow DJ's Sonny Wharton (Trashed), Seamus Haji (Haji & Emanuel), Rid Welson (Naughty But Nice) & the late, great Tony De Vit (Trade), plus a lifelong friendship with top producer Simon Parkes (V2) have enabled Andy to develop his DJ technique & music production skills to new, higher levels.
Further notable DJ achievements have been supporting Radio 1's Dave Pearce on his 2006 UK Dance Anthems Tour and attending the Winter Music Conference 2007 in Miami.
More recently, Andy has teamed up with the HouseJunkies to run a monthly House night called 'Hussle' taking place at Manchester's legendary Club North. Subsequently, Andy has DJ'ed alongside Tom Heron (CafÈ Mambo) & Miss Divine (Cream Ibiza).
However, you will also find Andy at one of his 2 weekly residencies - 'Milk' on Friday nights in Cannock and 'Funkin Good Saturday Night' in Banbury, plus a once monthly appearance at Moscow Bar in Wolverhampton.
2008 will see Andy return to the Winter Music Conference in Miami during March, where he will be DJ'ing, plus UK dates scheduled for Aruba & 'GLOW' in Walsall, 'RAW' in Wolverhampton, 'GLAM' in Birmingham, and 'Redefined' in Oswestry.
