Andy first got the trance bug back when he was 15, and it was the tune
"Love Stimulation" by Humate that really grabbed his attention. He was
only a listener to trance though until 17 when luckily his brother
needed somewhere to store his Technics and records, so by fate the
perfect oppertunity arrived for Andy to teach himself how to mix. As
soon as the record buying began and the beatmatching was perfected he
was instantly hooked.
Originally Andy's style was mainly uplifting trance. But after seeing
the likes of Tiesto and Judge Jules live in Ibiza, and hearing how they
fuse other styles of music like electro & techno into their trance
sets, this has seen Andy's style evolve into a slightly more edgy and
tougher sound over the years.
As with any young DJ it began with house parties, new years eve
celebrations and birthdays. This was all good practice for Andy to
hone his mixing skills and song selection ability by picking the tunes
he knew would bring a smile to peoples faces and make their feet move.
The first break came at the age of 19 where Andy played weekly at a
night called Fade out which was aimed at letting new unheard djs get
noticed in Milton keynes. This happened quickly and Andy was asked to
be resident for Brazen in Milton Keynes.
Due to other commitments Andy's djing has been on the sideline since
the age of 21 but the hunger to make a name for himself by impressing
clubbers on the dance floor has always been there. The last year has
seen a new set of decks bought, a lot of money and thought invested in
fresh new records and a new computer to deliver recorded mixes.
