"DJing: It's not a job, it's a hobby", the words that came from Darryl Rees, also known as DJ Daz, a well known DJ in most parts of South Wales. Darryl's passion for music came from his father as he was a DJ himself, nevertheless that didn't influence him into becoming a Deejay. It all started as a bedroom DJ just like how many other DJ's started, until one day he had the opportunity to DJ for a friend's birthday party with his old household speakers and his Argos decks. From then on he bought new equipment and set up his own mobile DJ Company across Swansea providing his amazing service to friends and family. Since Darryl's first DJ experience he has hosted countless number of parties in the past year from 13th to 40th birthdays with great pride. It wasn't long until Darryl's talent for Djing was picked upon where he was working in Clubs and Bars all over South Wales and now currently a resident DJ at The Peppermint Lounge, Swansea every Sunday. In addition to this he had been a resident DJ in many well known Clubs Inc; The Arch Nightclub, Neath, Elements, Bridgend and many more. In addition to DJing, he had also diversified into Karaoke on a Friday night for a period of time and is now going into radio shows for his university. Darryl's view of a night on the decks: The dance floor is full to the brim and the punters in the middle are waving their hands in the air and singing along, the punters at the front of the DJ box are shaking your hands with one and spilling their pint with the other. In the distance the merry crowd at the bar are nodding their heads and tapping their heels to the electro funky beat of the music.... This is why I love my job.
