Inspired by a classic B-Boy Movie in the eighties called the Wildstyle that featured the talents of Grandmaster Flash. Dj fak taught himself how to mix and scratch records on Stateline Iowa's before advancing onto Technics. His first love of music was Hip HOP and he was involved in forming one of Scotlands first Hip Hop Groups called Dope INC. His role in the band was MC and Human Beatboxer Mr B. Dope Inc supported groups such as Silver Bullet,Stereo MC's,Beats Int feat MC Wildski, and The Shamen.
Utilising the skills he learned from djing Hip Hop music he became known for mixing Techno in the nineties in clubs throughout the North East of scotland. Supporting big named DJ's like Carl Cox,Steve Bicknell,Dave Angel and Colin Favor.
In the late nineties he moved to cardiff where he dj'd Techno in clubs throughout South Wales. Now living in Bristol he has dj'd im many clubs and he also had his own show called the "Unwind Show" on BCFM.
