DJ Biography:

Fresh, new and talented...this DJ is 100% committed and passionate about this music. His mixing is truly inspiring. The promo discs he produces to showcase his talents 'Funktuary' are created live using Pioneer CDJ 1000 Mk3's and an Allen and Heath Xone 62 mixer. The set is then recorded direct to his Mac; balancing the levels and expanding them using an analogue compressor to give such a professional finish. At 15 he was working the dance floor at the Regal Ballroom's weekly under 18's disco which then quickly progressed to the adult nights where he began to learn about setting moods and club atmosphere; keeping the dancers on the dance floor and interacting with the crowd. At 16 Matt started work at a local trendy bar 'The Crib' on a Thursday night. This was so successful that he took over on a Friday and Saturday night too. Friday night were ‘Funky house’ and on Saturday nights Matt promoted his own 'Funktuary' nights. One Friday night the Crib bar was used as a pre-bar for Judge Jules – a 'Lovebug' night – and here Matt met and became good friends with DJ Danny Nightingale who is half of the Starlet Dj’s. In 2007 Matt started working for a local radio station, AmberSound FM. His dance music show went our for 2 hours on a Sunday afternoon for 6 week initially. In 2008, on Friday and Saturday nights, Matt produced a 'live' pre-recorded house music show between midnight and 2am called CLUBZONE. Matt now presents the top 40 show followed by an hour live mix show called 'Floorfillers' featuring electro, house and dance.
