DJ Richy B first got involved in the music scene at the young age of 14. Growing up listening to what we now call Oldskool House & Garage. Once getting his first pair of turntables, within the first couple of years saw him performing at local private gigs for friends and associates helping to build his mixing techniques while adding to his music collection. At the age of 18 he got his first residency in his local town at a club called the Old Bank (Epsom) which shortly became the place to be on a Friday night, playing a variety of music from UK Garage, Funky House, RnB and Drum and Bass.
From this he got recognised by a pirate radio station (Flight FM) where he performed a weekly show, this giving him the opportunity to perform for Exposure at Scala (King Cross - London) and Bagleys Kings Cross. 2004/2005/2006 also so him play regularly at private gigs and functions with constant bookings due to a mobile set-up as well as club bookings within the South-East of England.
In 2006 after obtaining a BA Hons Degree at Thames Valley University in Music Technology he took off to Greece for the summer season in Malia where he secured residencies at Pleasure Beech, Bikini Beech and Bar One but also playing frequently at Castle Club (Pure Temptation), WKD Bar and Club AM alongside DJs such as DJ EZ, Matt Jam Lamont, Pied Piper and DJ Luck & MC Neat.
After playing a summer season in Greece DJ Richy B's music collection went a lot more Mainstream /House orientated. Mixing up all different styles of music, rather than sticking to one genre, giving a more versatile set.
In 2010 he found a real love for house music and concentrated hard on the House scene. This leading him to gigs at the prestigious Ibiza Rocks (San Antonio) and Delano's (Playa D'en Bossa) - Ibiza. This topped by residencies at Speechless events in Epsom, Kingston and Clapham, at night's like the Ibiza Re-union and Ibiza send off parties playing Deep/Tech/Minimal and Progressive House and Commercial Dance while playing alongside names like Baby D and Justin Wilkes (Kisstory).
His experience and knowledge of music and mixing combined with his tune selection makes him second to none on the turntables. Whether a general Party Goer, Club Manager, Promoter, DJ Richy B never fails to deliver.
