Influenced by many, but imitated by none, the music of John Mig possesses flavor and grace that transcends all musical boundaries. Born in Athens, Greece his roots take hold and build the foundation for his musical beginnings. At age ten, the youngest dj, he started to attract attention from MTV starring in a video clip playing for Inner City's Good Life and finds favor with radio and djs of all kinds.
With music as his guide, John found the devotion and the love of his art with performances at clubs and beaches in Athens, collaborating with 3 very stellar djs creating their own union named Oceanus. Using genres such as rock ,soul, and pop,his mixes attract the masses to engage all sense of imagination.
Finding his love for electronica, progressive house, and trance, John took the plunge to pursue his own productions and compositions and moved to London. Point Black leads him on his own individual path of creativity and remarkable sounds. Since then, he has been a guest dj at Ministry of Sound, which brought him much success.
John Migs mixset, 'Common Sense 2' Live from Ministry Of Sound stunned the listeners and audience of trance lovers everywhere by holding the second position at the global mix charts at Mix Upload, and first position at the progressive trance charts for two weeks, and progressed in the upward position with unwavering and electric stability.
His latest mixset "THE ODE KAZANTIP 2009" one of the world's largest Techno, Trance,and House music festival in Ukraine, was awarded First ( No1 ) on the Global Charts Worldwide for the month march in 2009 , and has received incredible attention and favor from many voters, with massive support on Mixupload.
The Djing skills that John Mig developed over the years and his dedication to create a unique mixture of progressive house and trance resulted to his latest project The Art Of Music sessions.This project grew out of an idea conceived in the summer of 2007 and was set in motion in June 2009. Recognized by one of the world's favourite internet radio stations the Danceradio Global. Since 2009 John is the residence dj of Dance Radio , a station delivering high quality music that its being supported by the most famous and heard djs around the globe like Paul Van Dyk, Mike Koglin, Andy Duguid.
It seems like john's music, a definition of progressive trance, deeply influences the crowd's feelings inducing an altered state of consious making an atmosphere dominated by electronic elements and sequences. This exact atmosphere was captured at John's most recent gig with Sander Kleinenberg at the Ministry of Sound world tour in Ayia Napa.
Working with people such as Arabesque and Gotan Project on guest vocals Nova Emad hails from Toronto, Ontario Canada, to collaborate with John on his first album 'Eternity', which will be finished next year. No stranger to the music scene, Nova's sensual and smooth voice only enhances John’s works with unlimited praise. The first single 'The Breath' is well on its way to grace the many dance genres of today and in the future.
