After getting his first set of decks aged 12, Kenny Campbell has been hooked on electronic music ever since. Starting his record collection aged only 9, Kenny has been honing his sound and developing his natural talent for underground sounds for many years.

Kenny has always had a passion for techno, going back to 1990. Tracks like Joey Beltram's Energy Flash had inspired him to look further into the growing techno vibe that was coming from Belgium and Detroit. It was hearing Mescalinum United’s ‘We Have Arrived’ that finally convinced Kenny that he wanted to follow this sound and he set about getting a set of turntables and learning the skills to become a DJ.

As the Hardcore Techno scene started to stagnate Kenny went back to his roots and started to play a more minimal vibe, replacing the brash hardcore he had become known for with a deeper, groove filled style of techno.

Taking inspiration from artists like Ritchie Hawtin, and the sounds that were emanating from Berlin, Kenny moved naturally across and started to gain a reputation of introducing this new minimal sound to a much harder crowd.

It almost seemed natural that tech house and deeper house would fit in with the new style of music Kenny was appreciating, and he started to add these complementing yet contrasting genres to his repertoire.

In 2009 Kenny took a massive step into DJ technology and started to DJ digitally. This step away from the traditional DJ paradigm allowed him to build more unique and dynamic sets through having more control over how he played and manipulated music. Each and every time he played from now on would be completely unique experience. Kenny was no longer thinking in a ‘linear’ manner and was able to build layers of sounds and remix and re-edit tracks completely live.
