DJ Biography:

Matt Hughes began his DJ career at the early age of 13, scratching hip-hop records on a budget pair of turntables. He reached a high level of turntablism before branching out into the fine art of mixing, initially spinning main room trance. After experimenting with advancements in technology, Hughes found he was able to utilise a variety of 'DJ tools' to propel his sets up a gear. It was with this development that Hughes secured a residency at the North West' leading dance event, 'The Clinic', bringing the bassy sound of tech-trance to as many ears as possible. Hosting his own bi-weekly radio show also gives Hughes opportunity to spread his sound even further afield! As a result of Hughes' remarkable technical ability, he has played alongside some of the biggest names in the business, including Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Kutski, John O'Callaghan, Mark EG & Ed Real. However, it isn't just spinning the records which Matt Hughes excels at, production is an area in which he is comfortable too. With two songs already commercially released, expect to see a lot more from this fresh, young talent.
