Michael has been DJ-ing for over 3 years. He plays a firm, predominately funky sound, making room for electro and tech house in his after hours sets.
He started DJ-ing in various bars and competitions in Preston, and it wasn't long before he was playing in Manchester's infamous Canal St. This was a real learning curve for him where he learned all about setting mood and atmosphere.
After playing most bars and clubs on the street, including Breakfast Club, Essential and Spirit, Michael started to look further a field. He progressed into the club scene in Feb 2006, playing at the first club he had ever been to several years earlier, Green @ Club Solid, Preston.
For the next 6 months he played various club nights and bar gigs to help build him up. He gained a residency at Revolution in Liverpool, playing up to three times a week. His drive to seek out DJ opportunities in clubs led to him playing for Plush, not only in Club North in Manchester but also around the North West. Plush then took him out to Ibiza where he played for them at Kanya's and Plastik.
Through UK-DJ's.net, Michael made his debut for Miss Moneypenny's in May 2006 on their North East Tour and since he has played for them at their World Tour events in Liverpool, August 2006, and on Boxing Day 2006, playing alongside Jim Shaft Ryan, Jeff Jefferson and Ken Fan. He has also played the Easter 2007 event in Liverpool, and is booked for the May bank holiday event at Chester Race Course.
Michael's first appearance for Hed Kandi in September 2006 at the massive nightclub Nation in Liverpool, resulted in further bookings at their subsequent events, also at Nation, in November 2006, and February 2007 and May 2007.ð
Boxing Day 2006 saw Michael making his On A Plate debut. Immediately after his set he was asked to become resident, and has since played their residency at Goodgreef, and 6th Birthday. And is also running the new On A Plate residency in Skipton on a monthly basis.
From the On A Plate meets Goodgreef gig, Michael has subsequently been booked to play for Goodgreef's own house brand in Sept 2007. Michael has also been booked for Manchester's most infamous club, Sankeys, in Aug 2007.
Michael continues to receive more bookings, and repeat bookings due to his fresh, funky sound.ð He never stops in his pursuit of seeking out the best new music and pushing that in his sets.
