I have been playing on the club scene since 1995. i started off with my own
sound system and light rig in a pub we played to about 75 people.
i was spotted by a promoter and got my first gig at "No Bitchin" at the
steering wheel club(birmingham), i had'nt even played on technic's before at
that point, i was terrified i could'nt stop my hands from shaking ,It took
me a while to get used to them but i pulled it off. I got a great reaction
from the crowd, i played last set and when i finished the crowd cheered me
and i had a queue of people come over to shake my hand that was one of the
best feelings of my life, right then i realised that dj'ing was in my blood.
I was then spotted by another promoter from Georgeouse who booked me to play
for them at all of thier events in birmingham"Steering Wheel" & "The
Riverside Centre".Then i starting playing and organising coach trips to "The
Charming Country Club" (Kenilworth)I was playing to bigger and bigger crouds
and loved it more and more.At that time i was also playing at "The Vibe" in
"the Attic" (Tamworth). Then i started being booked for boat tribs up and
down the river severn for "Harmony", Once set I played after "Nigel Benn",
What a great day that was, Glorious sunshine cruising up the river severn
playing to 150 people.I alsso played quite a few different venues all around
the midlands for "Harmony" and i got to work with the likes of "Jocelyn
Brown" at "Tuxedo Junction" (Coventry).I also played at an event that in
involved 4 big promoters from the midlands (Harmony - Decadance - Happy As
Larry - Aqua Records), I then was booked to play for each promoter
indevidually at thier venues, at that point i was that buisy i was booked
solid, at that point i got my first slot at "The Sanctuary"(Birmingham) for
a new night just starting. It was very strange seeing my name on a flyer
with the likes of "Boy George, Brandon Block, Alex P, John of the pleased
wimmin, Tall Paul, and Tony De Vit. R.I.P" and having my name in the
"Mixmag" with "Paul Oakenfold, Seb Fontane, Jeremy Healy and Sonique" just
blew me away, that night being "Gods Kitchen" from then on i was scattered
all over the midlands playing here there and everywhere. I now live in sunny
devon and am prepared to travel anywhere i am needed and still have the love
for music that i had when i first started which is grea
