Tobie and Mik have been djing/promoting in one way or another for over
10years. Starting off many moons ago with a night called 'Status' in
Huddersfield, which featured none other than Chicago's acid house pioneer
Dj Pierre, They've since played or promoted at nights featuring DJ Pierre
(again), Greg Wilson, Unabombers, Lord G, James Holroyd among others.
Playing at various venues in Leeds, Manchester, Huddersfield, Blackburn,
London.
In Jan 2006 Tobie won IDJ Raw Talent. His mix was described as luscious
New York/West London soulful house. With comments from Anne Savage 'A
beautiful soulful mix that brought a bit of sunshine on a miserable day -
a real mood lifter'. Jon O Bir 'Seamless mixing and a great flow'. Radio
1's Eddie Haliwell ' Nice soulful vibes'.
Branching out across Europe the lads have both recorded mixes for one of
the Ukraine's national radio stations Star FM. Both mixes were broadcast
on the Afrodisiac show in 2006 which is presented by one of the countries
most respected jocks Dj Starshiy.
Also on radio, this time the online variety, Tobie has just had a guest
mix broadcast on the superb home of all things soulful
www.radiogotsoul.com. We can't recommend the station enough, go check them
out or a least take the time to listen to some of the archived shows.
And recently Tobie has just had a mix broadcast on respected online
station www.cyberjamz.com as a guest of Blackwax on his show 'Sessions From The Shack'.
Gig wise the lads are available for bookings and currently hold a monthly
residency at Huddersfields Mymou on the last Saturday of each month. They
are also currently finalising the details for our new night in Preston.
Also keep an eye out for the lads on the production/remix front under the
2buttocks and splendid productions names.
